Visiting the website
Our web server writes a line for every page and file it sends: your IP address, the time, the address requested, the page you came from and your browser's name. These logs are kept for about one year and are used to keep the site running and to stop attacks. The home page loads its fonts from Google Fonts and shows a map from Google Maps, so your browser also contacts Google when you open it, and the map can set Google's own cookies.
Feedback from our programs and apps
When you send a report from the Feedback menu of a SiggySoft program or app, we receive what the report window showed you before you sent it:
- the kind of report, its title and description;
- your e-mail address, only if you typed one, and whether you allow us to contact you;
- the program's name and version; system details and the program's log, only if you ticked them;
- pictures or text files you attached;
- the IP address the report came from, and a random identifier the program created for your computer or phone.
Pictures are re-saved when they arrive, which removes the information cameras and editors store inside image files. Every report is checked automatically for attack code and hidden text before a person reads it.
SiggySoft staff read reports to fix problems and plan new versions. Staff may use automated tools, which can include AI, to help sort and read reports they have approved while working on a fix. We do not sell reports, use them for advertising, or pass them to anyone else.
The program shows you a link to a status page for each report. That page shows the title, the status and our replies, never your e-mail address, system details, log or attachments.
Reports are kept until you ask us to delete one. To ask, send a new report that gives the ticket number (for example FB-2026-000123), or write to contact@siggysoft.org. We then delete the report, its replies and its attachments, and keep only a record that a report with that number was deleted.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, a session cookie that lasts 24 hours. It carries a random number that the site's security checks and the staff sign-in use, and nothing about you. Only SiggySoft staff have accounts here.
